Möll Valley climbing paradise
MÖLL VALLEY CLIMBING CENTRE team consists of local mountain guides who wish to give you an understanding of the beauty of the Hohe Tauern range with all its facets. Be it winter or summer, our programme offers a broad range for all mountain climbing enthusiasts.
Arthur von Schmid Haus
Our Alpine base, Arthur von Schmid Haus was built in 1911 and is located at an altitude of 2,281 m in the Dösen Valley of Mallnitz. It is owned by the ÖAV section of Graz and has been operated by Hans and Francoise since 1997. The excellently managed Schmidhaus is renowned far beyond the borders. It can accommodate 107 people in rooms or comfortable dormitories. Since 2004, the cabin has been our alpine base for basic climbing courses, alpine tours and for our youth camps.
Säuleck via ferrata
The via ferrata above the southern wall and the western ridge to Säuleck was completed in the summer of 2007 after a two year construction period. It is currently the highest and one of the most difficult vie ferrate in Carinthia, offering 750 m of climbing at a difficulty rating E!
It offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding 3000 m peaks. And for our climbing enthusiasts, we set up more than 40 perfectly secured sports climbing routes with different difficulty ratings and restored existing alpine routes.
Flying fox and Slakeline parcours round off our infrastructure for all offers, exclusively arranged by MÖLL VALLEY CLIMBING CENTRE at Arthur von Schmid Haus.
